Los Angeles Metrolink
Introducing trenolab planning, simulation and analysis tools on Metrolink network
Metrolink has adopted trenolab tools for planning services and for simulating how infrastructure changes will improve future timetables. In this project we created the macroscopic and microscopic models of the entire Metrolink services area. Metrolink operates a commuter rail system in the Los Angeles area consisting of seven lines and 62 stations operating over 800 km of rail network. The system connects the Los Angeles Country Metro Rail to Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Oceanside and San Diego counties and operates services also on line sections owned by other operators. The Metrolink network is regularly crossed by the Amtrak services connecting to Pacific Surfliner, Coast Starlight, Southwest Chief and Sunset Limited, but also to the San Diego Coaster and Sprinter light rail services.
During this project we created also the North American signalling model for our microscopic railway simulation tool, continuing our commitment towards offering for each trenissimo customer its specific signalling system models.
