Nicola joined trenolab in 2020, after two years as Assistant Professor in Transport Systems at Politecnico di Torino.
Holding a Ph.D. in Transport Engineering with over 5 years of research experience in the field of Operation Research applied to railway engineering, he designs and develops optimisation algorithms embedded into the TRENO suite. His research topics span from automatic timetable generation to traffic dispatching strategies as well as to crew and rolling stock rostering.
Nicola devotes his spare time to woodworking and guitar-making.
