Multiobjective Timetable Development Tool for Railway Strategic Planning in Norway

At trenolab, we are always glad to publish and share the result of our research.

In this article we present a timetable generation algorithm, developed for Jernbanedirektoratet, Norway’s Railway Directorate with the IFSTTAR of the Université Gustave Eiffel. The algorithm is integrated with our TRENOplus timetable planning tool and allows generating draft timetable than can be further edited by planners.
